Description

Bring proven Bosch electronic throttle control to your performance build with a choice of 68mm, 74mm or 82mm Drive By Wire (DBW) throttle bodies. Designed for use with a compatible electronic throttle control system, these Bosch units are an ideal match for Venom Automotive’s engine-specific DBW throttle-body adaptors.

Moving from a cable throttle to DBW allows the ECU to control throttle opening electronically. When configured correctly by a qualified tuner, a DBW system can help tidy the engine bay, improve idle and part-throttle calibration, and unlock ECU-managed functions such as launch control, throttle-based traction-control strategies, cruise control and rev-matching where supported.

Important Compatibility Information

This is a universal Bosch electronic throttle body, not a direct bolt-on conversion for a specific engine. It must be paired with the correct Venom Automotive engine-specific throttle-body adaptor, a compatible Bosch DBW accelerator pedal and pedal adaptor, suitable wiring/connector hardware, and an aftermarket ECU with electronic-throttle capability.

Please confirm the bore size, throttle-body mounting pattern, inlet/intercooler piping requirements and ECU compatibility for your build before ordering. A qualified mechanic and tuner should select and calibrate a DBW system.

Not Included

Engine-specific throttle-body adaptor.
Bosch accelerator pedal or pedal adaptor.
Wiring harness, mating connector, ECU, calibration or tuning.
Inlet/intercooler piping, silicone adaptors, clamps and installation hardware not supplied with the throttle body.

Please note: A DBW-capable aftermarket ECU and a compatible e-throttle pedal are required. This product is not a replacement for a cable-operated throttle system without the additional conversion components and correct calibration.
