Description

Designed to bolt into the body rail at the same location as the OE tow hook, our new design allows a front hook installation that avoids clashes with front lips and front-mount intercooler pipework.

Designed and tested with finite element analysis (FEA), we have optimised the shape to ensure it is strong enough to tow your JZA80/MkIV Supra out of the deepest sand traps at the race track.

As a product update, we now offer a tow strap instead of the rigid tow ring, which can be damaged in a frontal impact and reduces the effectiveness of an easy-to-use tow hook.

The Sparco tow strap meets FIA/CAM guidelines (40mm ID) and can be easily removed or tucked behind the bumper when not needed. The tow hook block features an M16x1.5mm thread pattern; alternative OE tow hooks or straps with this thread may also be used.

Note: This tow hook is incompatible with OEM Active Lips as it will clash with the motor. Minor trimming of the OE Plastics may be required in non-active lip cars. It will also not fit Series 2 (96+) Supras with the Air Deflector installed in the front Bumper.

A minimum of 50mm is required beneath the Chassis rail for installation. Please ensure there is clearance for the intercooler pipework. If unsure, please reach out with photos of your setup, and we can assist.

Installation Instructions (Difficulty 3/10)

1. Remove the driver’s side (right-hand side) Headlight by undoing 1x M6 bolt and 2x M6 Nuts.

2. Reach behind the Bumper through the headlight space (remove the existing tow hook if installed - 3x M14 Bolts).

3. Trim plastic air deflector to clear the hook (if still installed; likely removed during FMIC installation on Turbo Cars).

4. Install the new tow hook mounting assembly using the provided fasteners.

5. Install a tow hook or strap (option dependent).

6. Reinstall the driver’s headlight assembly.
